Why “Dare to Surf Club”

“Dare to Surf Club” was founded in Hua-Hin but the origin of coach is from Khaolak. Our passion – surf & soul, as soulsurfers we would like to see everyone “dare to surf”, one of the idea is we would love to see you put yourself out of there and willing to try something new.

Surfing in Thailand 2024

Surfing in Thailand can be argued to originate in Phuket. Surfing is quite a recent phenomenon in Thailand in relation to the rest of the world. Around 1988, there weren’t many Thai Surfers. Travellers passing through brought a few surfboards and left them for the locals.

Coach Pat (Pattana Kenkhuntod)

Coach Pat, a dedicated local surf instructor and professional surfer with over a decade of experience in teaching and competing on the waves of Khao Lak and internationally. With his passion for surfing and wealth of knowledge, Coach Pat has become a trusted figure in the surfing community, helping countless individuals discover the joy of riding the waves.Having spent more than 10 years honing his skills both in teaching and competing.

Surfing in Hua-Hin

Another side of Thailand with winter surf season is in Hau-Hin (Ao Thai). Hua-Hin surf season starts from middle of November until end of March as turning time from Andaman side. The waves are good for all surfing level and easy to start your first step of your surfing journey here.

Surfing in Khaolak

Surfing in Khaolak, the most famous is the Andaman side but it’s not just in Phuket, as Khaolak has good waves and more surfing spots that are peace and quiet. Khaolak is 1 hour north from Phuket airport and can start surfing from Kokkloy until the end of Khaolak city. Plenty of peeling long waves spots suitable for longboarders and also bigger or heavier waves spots suitable for shortboard.

Phuket Surf Contest 2023 at Kata Beach

The Phuket Surf contest 2023, held at Kata Beach, Phuket has become successful within part of The Amazing Ultimate Festival, and array of sports and recreational tourism events as fully of a gathering of international surfers to come to join and support surfing competitions all together.

Khaolak Surf Festival 2023 at Pakarang Beach

Khaolak, Thailand – 18th June 2023 – The final day of the Khaolak Surf Festival 2023, organized by the Thailand Surfing Federation, was graced with perfect weather conditions that improved the wave shapes compared to the previous day. The event brought together a diverse field of surfers showcasing their talents across several categories.
